Miller Farms Nursery Annual Display March 09

Miller Farms Nursery in McKinleyville is having some fun workshops this month!

Edible Container Gardening Workshop, Saturday March 14th at 1030 am

Join the Miller Farms crew for a fun morning talking about container gardens that you can eat! What fruits and veggies grow in containers, and how do you grow them for success? This is a free workshop.

Vegetable Gardening with Eddie Tanner, Saturday March 21st at 1030 am

Humboldt Kitchen Gardener bookEddie has written THE vegetable gardening book for the North Coast, called  The Humboldt Kitchen Gardener, and Eddie will be discussing what works best and how to grow it here on the North Coast.

Duncan McNeill of Dr Earth and Gardener and Bloome will be on hand to answer questions about organic fertilizers and soils.

The fee is $10, and there will be free gifts with attendance. (If you can’t make it, I’d really recommend stopping by your local independent bookstore or nursery for a copy of Eddie’s book!)

Drip Irrigation with Yvonne Colburn, Saturday March 28th at 1030 am

When I have irrigation questions, I always ask Yvonne at Miller’s. She’s patient and good at explaining things in a clear way that is easy to understand.

So if you’d like to save time and water with an easy-to-install drip irrigation system, don’t miss this excellent workshop! Yvonne’s going to cover the basics of how they are installed and how all the parts work. This is a free workshop.

While you’re at the nursery, don’t forget to check out their well-stocked seed selection and the new veggie starts that are in:
