If you haven’t heard of the awesomeness that is Cathy Butler’s Effortless Gardening Workshop, you’re missing out. I first heard of Cathy from one of my landscape maintenance clients who went to the workshop, and she raved about how it changed the way she gardened so that it no longer hurt to do the things she loved.
I met with Cathy recently and she gave me some great tips for how to weed gardens without hurting myself. I couldn’t believe what a difference even those few tricks she shared made! I’ve been putting those tips into practice and my back, neck, shoulders, and hips have been thanking me. Click the link above to watch the video interview.
Cathy’s a Humboldt local for the moment, but she is planning to move soon, so this may well be your last chance to take her Effortless Gardening class here in Humboldt.
There are two classes, one this Saturday afternoon from 1200-330 on how to work with gardening tools and equipment (raking, digging, lifting, and using heavy equipment) and one on Sunday afternoon on working low to the ground – weeding, lifting, harvesting and more. Go to Cathy’s Effortless Gardening page to learn more, or give her a call at 840-0413 to reserve your spot, or find out if there are spaces left on the day.
I’m going to be there for both afternoon workshops, and I’ve invited some really fun gardeners, so it’s bound to be a good time. I’d love to meet you there!
