Protecting Tender Plants From Frost

by Genevieve on December 17, 2009

My friend Rebecca, a Bay Area landscape designer, has written a great article about how to protect some of your tender beauties from this ungracious weather we’ve been having. Some plants you may wish to protect here in Humboldt:

Salvia leucantha and indeed most sages

Fuchsia thymifolia

Lemon and Lime trees

Brugmansia/ Datura/ Angel’s Trumpet

Ginger

Princess Flower/ Tibouchina

Good luck overwintering your plants, and pop over to Gossip in the Garden to see how Rebecca’s protecting her plants.
